Will You Be My Friend?
As if “Facebook friending” weren’t enough, I have another friend request. My techie-hating self figured out how to do the “Google friend connect” thingy on my blog. It’s not that I care to have “followers” although I’m sure it appears that I do. There may be a better way to have blog subscribers. I have no idea. So why did I do it?
I’d like to do some curriculum reviews for The Old Schoolhouse Magazine and a requirement for that is to have a Google friend connect on my blog. My assumption is that I’d also need a few people that actually subscribe. So… if you read my blog would you consider being my friend? Just look to the bottom of my sidebar on the right and click “join.” You will then be walked through the steps of setting up a Google account if you don’t already have one.
Thanks so much, dear friends!

Hi, I just wanted to let you know that I’ve enjoyed reading your posts recently (especially Eating My Frogs!). I stumbled upon you here by way of Sally Clarkson’s blog I believe. At any rate, just wanted to introduce myself, another homescholing mom :-), and tell you that I find your posts encouraging. Glad I’m not the only mom that rarely and yet occasionally devotes a day to nothing but getting a digital album completed! 🙂 God bless!

Oh, goodness, there IS always something else, huh? I will follow on Friend Connect. I don;t really ever look at it, but I love to support you! The VERY best (free) way for people to subscribe to your blog is Feedburner! Go now, sign up, and add a simple code to your website, and you’ll be able to see how many subscribers you have, and lots of other stuff. People can also get it in email.

Sure! I joined 🙂 and thanks for coming by my blog. I have done some homeschool reviews for various companies (don’t think I’ve done one with TOS yet.) but it’s fun stuff! I’m working with a company right now called Dynamic Literacy for vocabulary building. My kids seem to enjoy it..that’s always a good thing right? 😉

Thanks Sarah and Sisterlisa. Sarah, I’m with you. I don’t look at Google Reader too much either! I will look at Feedburner. That is actually how I’ve subscribed to the few blogs that I do actually read. TOS just told me to put up the Google thing so I did. Regardless, thanks for joining!
