Good Friday

Anna danced this evening at our Good Friday service to a piece she choreographed. What a beautiful service and what a blessing for her to be a part of it.

Lyrics to “The Look” by Sovereign Grace

I saw one hanging on a tree
In agony and blood
Who fixed His loving eyes on me
As near His cross I stood
And never till my dying breath
Will I forget that look
It seemed to charge me with His death
Though not a word He spoke

My conscience felt and owned the guilt
And plunged me in despair
I saw my sins His blood had spilt
And helped to nail Him there
But with a second look He said
“I freely all forgive
This blood is for your ransom paid
I died that you might live”

CHORUS
Forever etched upon my mind
Is the look of Him who died
The Lamb I crucified
And now my life will sing the praise
Of pure atoning grace
That looked on me and gladly took my place

Thus while His death my sin displays
For all the world to view
Such is the mystery of grace
It seals my pardon too
With pleasing grief and mournful joy
My spirit now is filled
That I should such a life destroy
Yet live by Him I killed

Hi Tina. Thanks for commenting on my blog. My daughter, Sarah, graduated from ASU last spring, but has been working at the University this spring as an AD and also doing design work for the Housing office. She was part of Alliance’s College group for 4 years, in Leanne Gregory’s Bible Study, and has been doing lessons with the Gregory kids on Fridays.
    small world 🙂

As for the Nat’l Geographic Bee, our support group did organize an “official bee” for several years, and this year we branched off and did our own thing ( for gr. K-12, came up with our own questions, added geography activities, etc) To do an official bee, your group needs to register with National Geographic and follow their format, rules, timeline, etc.
